Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FilmDocs.App website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by PJ Media Tech LLC, doing business as FilmDocs.App ("FilmDocs.App," "we," "us," or "our"), a limited liability company organized in the State of Florida. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

FilmDocs.App provides web-based tools and document templates for film, television, and video production management — including call sheets, schedules, breakdowns, budgets, reports, and cast and crew management. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Your Account

• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
• You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Plans, Billing & Refunds

• Free and paid plans. The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (such as Student, Indie, Team, and education plans). Plan features and prices are described on our website and may change with notice.
• Billing. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel.
• Auto-renewal & cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain paid features until then.
• Refunds. Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. We may, at our discretion, issue refunds or credits on a case-by-case basis.
• Price changes. We may change subscription prices; changes apply to your next renewal after we give you reasonable notice.
• Taxes. Prices may not include applicable taxes, which you are responsible for.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Upload or share content you do not have the right to use, or that is illegal, infringing, or harmful;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
• Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by law;
• Share a single editor seat among more people than your plan allows, or otherwise circumvent plan limits;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content and data you create or upload to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your authorized collaborators. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and will not sell it. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to use it.

6. Collaborators

Paid plans let you invite collaborators (editors and viewers) to projects. You are responsible for the people you invite and for managing their access. Collaborators must also comply with these Terms.

7. Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, logos, and the FilmDocs.App name, is owned by PJ Media Tech LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or to the Service itself beyond the limited right to use it as intended.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, Stripe for payments, Supabase for hosting and authentication, and Google for optional sign-in). Your use of those features may be subject to the providers' own terms and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important data.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PJ Media Tech LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PJ Media Tech LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app). Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
